Hello everyone,
My name is Colby Kammerer.
I’m the person behind Cars With Colby.
Currently, I am on a mission to help customers all across Canada with their vehicle purchasing needs.
But like many of you, I had a different career path before getting into the automotive industry.
I was born and raised in Chilliwack, BC.
Before starting in the automotive world, I was an underwater commercial diver, photographer and welder.
I have a deep connection with the ocean and sea life, I will always long for diving opportunities in the future.
Five years ago, I made the decision to leave British Columbia in pursuit of a new career with more opportunity and a better life in Alberta.
In my diving career, I had several highlights that I will never forget. From having the opportunity to dive in Thailand and South Africa, to working with several different companies in BC, repairing vessels to become sea worthy, even going as far as doing underwater photography for National Geographic that was featured in one of their publications. When it comes to diving, I’ve done it all!

Although I loved my time diving, shooting photos, and welding, it wasn’t a lifestyle I truly enjoyed.
I was on call at all times, working on holidays, even Christmas day, and missing time with my family and friends.
For some reason, I always felt like everything was too transactional.
Although I was keeping vessels afloat, I realized what I love most is helping people.
I took a risk, moved to Calgary to be closer to my family, and jumped in with both feet selling vehicles at a car dealership.
After a few months working at the car dealership, I found that there was a need that was missing in the auto industry. That need, was a sales person that authentically cared about their clients. I realized, that when I truly helped my clients with their needs, and made a tangible impact on their lives, it made me feel good.
Making a positive impact on peoples lives and putting smiles on their faces is what gets me out of bed everyday.
Fast forward to the present day, I have helped thousands of Albertans and others from out of province find vehicles that meet their needs, assisted in rebuilding their credit, thus improving their financial path, and hopefully, I have left a lasting impact that neither of us will forget.
I’m thankful that I have had the opportunity to build a good working relationship with my clients and been able to help them find vehicles several times over.
I’ve helped people with many different scenarios. Whether it’s getting their first car, a more reliable vehicle, getting a family into a minivan so they can experience their first family vacation, or even the entrepreneur that needed a work truck to start their new business. After listening to my clients’ needs, I found a vehicle that fit their budget, helped rebuild their credit, and even assisted in consolidating previous debts.
